Avengers: Infinity War' Garners Most Feature Film Nominations; 'Incredibles 2' is Top Animated Film Contender; 'Lost in Space' Leads the Broadcast Field

The Visual Effects Society has announced the nominees for the 17th Annual VES Awards, taking place February 5, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Nominations for the 17th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards have been announced today, and unsurprisingly Disney’s Pixar and Marvel received the most mentions for their 2018 blockbusters.

The VES Awards nominees, announced on Tuesday, were led by "Infinity War," which nabbed six nods from the group.

Winners in 24 categories will be announced February 5 at 17th annual gala awards ceremony.

Avengers: Infinity War, Christopher Robin, Ready Player One, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Welcome To Marwen have earned nominations in the Visual Effects Society’s (VES) outstanding effects in a photoreal feature category
