Currently I am one of the VES Australian Board Manager and ACS member / Committee member in NSW.
I’m a Visual Effects and Virtual Production Supervisor/Producer who studied 3D Animation & Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I have worked on numerous major feature films, including Transformers, Rock of Ages, Ender’s Game, The Watch, Jurassic Park, The Smurfs, Silver Linings Playbook, and 47 Ronin. I am also an experienced live events creative and expert video engineer who has worked on concerts, festivals and tours. I’ve worked with major artists such as JLo, 30 Seconds To Mars, Ricky Martin, Camilla Cabello, the 2019 American Music Awards, and more.
For the past 15 years I have been working with companies at the forefront of VFX, virtual production, broadcasting, and live events, including Digital Domain, Stereo D, Cox Media, PRG (Production Resources Service), MouseTrappe, Technomedia, Mandrake Studios, and xRStage. More recently, my professional focus has been on honing my virtual production expertise. Working with teams of engineers and programmers, I have specialised as a virtual production supervisor and producer focusing on utilizing Unreal Engine, MoSys camera tracking systems and Disguise. I draw on my extensive 3D Animation/VFX knowledge to manage all aspects of virtual production on set, including look Virtual Art Department, color grading, Unreal Engine environment creation/optimization for virtual production using nDisplay, xR set extension with media servers, camera/objects/hybrid tracking systems, motion capture, LED walls and processors, facial tracking, and MetaHuman.
As a 3D Animator and VFX veteran, I have had the privilege of working on amazing feature films, permanent installations, commercials, theme parks, and live events around the world.
I am credited in IMDb for my contributions as a VFX artist. I am adept in standard tools used to create feature films, including Nuke, Maya, Houdini, Katana, Mari, Mocha, Silhouette, and Digital Domain proprietary software.
Drawing on my 3D Animation and VFX experience, I was part of the team of contractors hired by Disney Imaginary to design the new Star Wars attraction at DisneyLand and Disney World. I worked as a 3D Set designer utilizing tools like AutoCad, Rhino, Maya, Sketchup, Revit, BIM 360, and Naviswork.
I have colaborated in Virtual Production and xR Set extension as a Virtual Production Supervisor and Art Director in Los Angeles, California. In my role as a Virtual Production Supervisor, I work one-on-one with directors, DPs, producers, set designers, LED technicians, camera crew, storyboard department, 3D artists, Previs, and talent. The unique skill set I’ve developed throughout my career in VFX, broadcasting, and live events allow me to support the entire production process, from preproduction all the way through to shooting in LED volumes. My extensive experience using Unreal Engine equips me with the ability to guide the production team and technical department to seamlessly merge practical assets and lights with the virtual environment world from Unreal Engine to create a superior composition that directors look for on camera.
